Client Finance Co-ordinator


Earlswood Veterinary is a leading, multi-disciplinary, small animal, referral centre in Northern Ireland. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care available to all patients, and clients referred to us and are currently seeking to expand our team.


Job Purpose Summary:

As Client Finance Co-ordinator you will be working with the Management Team to effectively co-ordinate the client finance process within established protocols. This is a key role within the Practice, working alongside the Client Care Co-ordinator and Insurance Administrator, to ensure all money owed to the practice from our clients and their insurers is received within an established timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the effective implementation of an established debt management protocol to meet KPIs and ensure effective debt management.
  • To assist the Client Care Co-ordinator with client finance discussions as required, along with client facing staff, to ensure protocols are adhered to in order to prevent the business incurring 30 day+ debt.
  • To ensure the clinical and client care teams are aware of the finance terms agreed with each client and any constraints therein.
  • To ensure clients adhere to their responsibilities regarding payment of monies owed.
  • To liaise with the Clinical, Finance and Admin teams to ensure invoice generation and submission of finance applications, etc. result in receipt of payment within terms.
  • To produce detailed debt and financial reports for the management team on a regular basis.


You will have proven experience in effective credit control, and an understanding of risks and processes to avoid and control debt. You will be highly motivated with excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills. Speaking to clients over the telephone and in person will be part of the job at all times and the ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively but sensitively at what can be an emotional and stressful time.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least two-years experience in a similar finance, debt management or credit control role within the last five years
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule workload to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and alone
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confident, professional demeanour
  • Computer literate

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience in a clinical background would be advantageous
